Entry was open to all CACSSA members. Each entrant plays a game of six hands against another.  The winner goes on to the next round until there is just one player left, The Player of the Year. 

The qualifying games this year were held on Tuesday 14th April when 32 players (darker background above) reduced to 11  "last-16" qualifiers  and Wednesday 15th April when a further 18 players reduced to 5 "last-16" qualifiers.
The final games were also on Wednesday 15th April
